Butte Central Catholic Schools will join over 6,000 Catholic Schools and over 2 million U.S. students in the celebration of National Catholic Schools Week 2024. The week-long celebration will begin Sunday, January 27, 2025, and continue through Friday, February 2, 2024. Twenty-three Montana Catholic Schools will participate in the event.

Any time someone is diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer, it is a heavy blow to their family. Especially when it is a young father who is just getting things going in life. One thing that is practically a given in today's society is that when looking for a career, you are going to have better opportunities finding a high-paying career with a college degree than without one. One of Butte's most popular and talented singer/songwriters will be part of an incredible "songwriters in the round" performance this weekend at one of Butte's best venues for live music and concerts. Local favorite Chad Okrusch will be joined by fellow Montana songwriters Lee Calvin and Jarret Kostrba this Saturday at the Covellite Theater for "Montana Roots: Americana Songwriters Showcase".

Although the weather is uncomfortable and sometimes downright miserable, there are a few things that you can do to make sure things stay running smoothly in your household.

Anyone looking to get out of the cold Saturday afternoon can warm up with a couple of red-hot Oredigger basketball teams as both the Montana Tech women and men will host the University of Providence out of Great Falls at Kelvin Sampson Court. In addition to the warmth, Saturday is a great opportunity to bring the family to the HPER if you haven't caught the Orediggers in action this season.

Weekend temperatures are expected to get down to at least -20 and people are scrambling for their extra blankets, extension cords for the engine block heater and plenty of chicken soup for the pantry. As the mercury drops, don't forget to keep your furry family member safe and comfortable.
