How could one ever describe running a business for a full century?  Well, none of us were around in 1925 much less contemplating a business venture in what was certainly a different economy and different times.  In 1925, Butte's mines were in full swing despite labor unrest between workers and unions and the gargantuan Anaconda Company.  Butte was only 8 years removed from the Granite Mountain/Speculator mine disaster and the world itself removed from World War 1 by roughly the same time frame.  Prohibition was in effect although speakeasys were not hard to find and despite the ban on alcohol, the Mining City was earning its' reputation as a hard-working, hard playing kind of town.

In 1925, Lucas Pressler's great-grandparents William and Marguerite Wills started a modest venture serving a bustling mining community with basically anything that had to do with sheet metal, fabricating everything from hoods to bathroom partitions and all jobs in between.  They called their venture "Butte Tin" and through hard work, attention to detail, outstanding service and a commitment to quality, the business thrived.

Fast forward a century and Lucas Pressler and his family are now operating what has become Southwest Montana's leading Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning service provider, passed down through 4 generations and succeeding on the same principles.  The Presslers are proud not only of the services they provide but of the name under which they operate.  Butte Tin has consistently done this for 100 years and they are going to throw a celebration on June 21st not only in commemoration but to kick of the next 100 years of serving our community.
