Five Guys Burgers and Fries Opens in Butte
Another major chain restaurant quietly opened its doors in the Mining City on Monday as Five Guys Burgers and Fries began serving customers at its brand new location in the Cornerstone Plaza on South Harrison Avenue just south of Leskovar Motors.
Although there was little other than rumors about the official opening date of Butte's Five Guys, word spread quickly around town that the doors to the new establishment were open, and soon people were lining up for burgers, hot dogs, fries, soft drinks and shakes at the new restaurant.
Five Guys started as a standalone location in Virginia in 1986 and has since spread to over 2000 locations in over 25 countries worldwide. Here in Montana, the chain has locations in Missoula, Bozeman, Billings and Great Falls in addition to the new opening here in the Mining City.
Five Guys is known for using only fresh beef in their burgers as well as using 100% peanut oil when cooking their french-fried potatoes which are also cut fresh daily and sourced from regional potato farms. The soft drinks at Five Guys are self-serve and are dispensed from a pair of Coca Cola Freestyle fountains which can produce literally hundreds of flavor combinations from the myriad of Coca Cola products that are offered.
Five Guys of Butte shares a building with Jersey Mike's sandwich shop and joins the previously opened Chipotle Mexican Grill and Planet Fitness fitness center in the brand-new retail area. Five Guys of Butte will be open from 11am until 10pm seven days a week.
