Stand-up comedy is taking over the stage at The Covellite this Saturday night as New York comedian Jonathan Van Halem brings his nationally recognized at to Butte for a one-night performance.

Van Halem has steadily built a reputation in the comedy world for his sharp observational humor and his ability to turn everyday frustrations into hilariously relatable comedy.  His material often focuses on modern life, awkward social interactions, and the absurdity hidden in ordinary situations.

Currently, Van Halem works at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and previously was a writer for Tooning Out the News and has also written for the satirical comedy site ClickHole, while his growing online audience has helped push several of his stand-up clips into the millions of views from across social media platforms.

Comedy fans may also recognize Van Halem from his appearances opening for well-known performers including David Cross, Rory Scovel, Gianmarco Soresi, Kyle Gordon and Sabrina Wu.

One of his most talked-about bits, the viral "AMC A-List" rant, was even named one of Vulture's Best Comedy  Shorts of June 2024.

The laughs start at 8pm with tickets priced at $18 in advance.  The price will rise to $25 on the day of the show and organizers recommend getting yours ahead of time.  The evening will also feature performances from comic Noah Crow and host Stone Casad, creating a full lineup of touring and regional comedy talent.

The evening's mix promises a night packed with fast-paced jokes, relatable stories and plenty of laughs in one of Southwest Montana's most intimate live entertainment venues.
