Like, okay I get it - there’s an ecosystem that relies on a food chain but even we have to admit that we’d be okay messing with it a little bit if it meant we never had to see certain critters again… right?

Are Ghost Bugs Real?

I know there are some people who love insects and bugs but I’m sorry, I just don’t see the appeal. To this day, when I see a bug I end it’s life right there on the spot.

This one time, I crushed a fly while waiting for my turn at a Great Clips in Idaho. When it was time for me to go to my chair to get my hair sorted out, the girl cutting my hair asked me a question that I’ll never forget as long as I live.

“Have you ever wondered how many bug ghosts are haunting you because of how many you killed?” she asked.

Not kidding, I sat there for a solid 10-15 seconds in silence which to me, felt like forever. I was petrified because what if she was right? What if the bugs we kill have an afterlife? And why wouldn’t they?

Some people believe their pet dogs or cats stick around their homes in the afterlife so why can’t an 8-legged or 6-legged ghost lurk your hallways and corners in the middle of the night?
