Time Is Running Out For Montana Youth Hunters To Share Their Best Stories!
Some of Montana's greatest pastimes have always involved being outdoors. Whether it's hiking, fishing, or hunting (or shoot, all of the above), these Montana traditions start at an early age.
It's almost time to celebrate hunting in Montana with Governor Gianforte's upcoming 4th Annual Youth Hunting Story Contest.
It's Time For Montana's Young Hunters To Shine
Montanans are proud of their traditions and it's almost time for the young hunters of Montana to shine with their best hunting experience and sharing it with the rest of the state.
"For the past three years, young hunters across Montana have shared incredible stories that celebrate our hunting heritage and love of the outdoors," Governor Gianforte said in a press release on the website for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
"As this year’s contest opens, I encourage all youth and apprentice hunters to take part and share their story."
The Clock Is Ticking For Young Hunters To Submit!
Young Montana hunters have one week left until the December 2nd deadline to submit their 500-word story along with a photo from that hunt. Participants also must be from Montana, between the ages of 10 and 17, and be licensed or apprenticed hunters.
According to the site for MFWP, "eligible entries include the harvest of any legal game, furbearer or bird in Montana."
