Great Falls Fire Rescue responded to the report of a fire on Sunday evening, January 26th, 2025, at 7:12 PM.

The fire was reported at Ski's Western Motel, which is located at 2420 10th Ave., South.

Upon arrival, firefighters noticed heavy smoke pouring out from motel room number 110.

Sunday Motel Fire In Great Falls

Firefighters were successful in keeping the blaze contained in room 110 and preventing it from spreading to other parts of the motel.

Great Falls Fire Rescue had the fire extinguished within 10 minutes of arrival.

Impacts Of Motel Fire

According to Great Falls Fire Rescue there were four individuals occupying room number 110 which consisted of two adults and two children.

All four individuals were relocated to a different room in the motel following the fire.

No other guests in the motel were displaced due to the fire.

Great Falls American Red Cross

The American Red Cross was notified of the fire and was able to provide additional support assistance to the four occupants of the motel.

The fire did result in a complete loss for the four occupants and according to the fire report, the room was completely destroyed.

Cause Of Motel Fire

According to Great Falls Fire Rescue, investigations into the fire, found that the blaze was caused unintentionally by placing clothes on top of the heating unit.

The report did not specify what type of heating unit lead to the fire.
