The Montana Lottery had a busy holiday season, and they aren’t slowing down anytime soon. 2026 is going to be another busy year for the lottery.

I recently spoke with Celina Clift about what’s happening at the Montana Lottery, and there’s a lot.

Where the $1 Million Ticket Was Sold

There is still one winning ticket out there worth a million dollars that hasn’t been redeemed. The winning ticket was sold at JMT Tristop & Casino in Butte. The winner has until June 26 to collect their winnings. Montana Millionaire will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. I asked Clift if there were any changes to the game this year, and she wasn’t at liberty to say at this time. Updates will be coming.

New Scratch Game Offering Million-Dollar Jackpots

The Montana Millionaire is not the only game where you have a chance of winning a million dollars. The lottery has recently released the Ultimate Cash scratch ticket game, with two $1 million jackpots. Each ticket costs $30, and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1:90,900.

This fall, the lottery is scheduled to roll out new terminals for players. Some of the new terminals will offer all of the lottery products, Treasure Play, Sports Bet Montana, lotto games, and scratch tickets. These terminals will be in bars, taverns, and casinos.

The Lucky for Life game is changing to Millionaire for Life. This is a national game, and the Montana Lottery doesn’t have control over the changes. The grand prize for Millionaire for Life is a million dollars every year for life, with secondary prizes of $100,000 a year for life. Tickets will cost $5 for this game.
