Where to Vacation Cheap in 2025? U.S. News Says Yellowstone

There is very little that people seem to agree on these days. Saving money may be one of the few things that most people can agree on.

When looking to take the family on a vacation or an adventure, cost can be a big part of the decision making process. Not only do you want to have a great experience, but you don't want to break the bank either.

So when it comes to an affordable vacation, we have one of the best choices in our own backyard.

According to US News & World Report, which ranked the best cheap family vacations, one spot tops the list of them all, and yes, part of it is Montana.

Yellowstone National Park Tops List of Cheap Vacations

Yellowstone National Park is the top ranked cheap family vacation. Even though summer is the most expensive season for hotels around the park, there is the option of  camping in Yellowstone. With a fairly inexpensive entrance fee into the park, compared to others, it makes for an affordable vacation spot.

Some of the other spots that have made the top five on the list are Yosemite National Park, Gatlinburg, Grand Canyon National Park, and Grand Teton National.

US news & World Report didn't just keep the list to the U.S., Playa Del Carmen in Mexico and Jamaica both made the list too.

If you are interested in seeing the Northern Lights, just outside of Yellowstone is one of the best places to see them in the lower 48.

With tourist season underway this list will give more people reasons to visit Yellowstone, so we shouldn't be surprised if we see the number of visitors go up even more this year as people try to save some money.
