Williston’s New Amazon Facility Is Already Changing How Your Packages Arrive
If it seems like your Amazon packages have been showing up a little faster lately, there’s a new piece of the puzzle right here in Williston.
Local business leaders, elected officials and Amazon representatives gathered Wednesday for a ribbon cutting and tour of Williston’s new Amazon delivery station, which has been operating for nearly two months.
The DAV6 Delivery Station is located at 404 Well Street and is helping Amazon move packages to customers across the region more efficiently.
A Look Behind the Curtain
The facility serves customers within roughly a 50-mile radius and is designed to help provide faster deliveries to western North Dakota.
The station currently has 36 employees, with plans to grow to around 50 employees. Amazon also expects the operation to eventually have approximately 100 drivers and handle as many as 6,000 deliveries during peak season.

Charley Ray highlighted the efficiency of the operation and the impact it can have on customers across the state.
“I’m amazed at how efficient that we provide such speedy delivery! ND is a cut above the rest in my opinion.”
Ray also noted the plans for continued growth, including additional employees and drivers.
An Investment in Williston
Williston Mayor Cory Swint said the city is excited about the new operation and what it means for the community.
“We are excited for these partnerships and investments in our community,” Swint said.
Amazon leaders also pointed to the company’s investment in North Dakota, with approximately $900 million invested in the state since 2010.
The delivery drivers working from the Williston station are independent of Amazon, adding another local component to the operation.
For customers, the biggest difference may simply be seeing that Amazon box arrive a little sooner. But behind that quick delivery is a growing operation, local jobs and a new investment right here in Williston.
