
Williston Fire Crews Clear East Broadway Commercial Fire In Just Over An Hour
Fire crews quickly contained a commercial structure fire Sunday afternoon after a passerby spotted smoke coming from a building along East Broadway Street.

The Williston Fire Department was dispatched at 12:30 p.m. to the 1300 block of East Broadway St. after a passerby reported smoke rising from the roof.
A first-alarm response was initiated, bringing multiple units, including fire engines, a ladder truck, an ambulance and command staff. The Williston Police Department assisted with traffic control and scene security.

Engine 1 arrived at 12:36 p.m. and crews found brown smoke coming from the rear portion of the roof, with smoke present throughout the building.
Firefighters determined an incinerator attached to the structure had malfunctioned while operating, allowing smoke to spread inside.
The fire was extinguished within minutes, and crews remained on scene to ventilate the building. All units cleared the scene by 1:41 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
