A Fall Favorite Returns to Lewis & Clark State Park on September 19
There is just something about fall in North Dakota. The cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and the excuse to pull your favorite flannel shirt out of the closet all make it a pretty great time of year.
This September, Flannel Fest returns to Lewis & Clark State Park for an afternoon filled with fall fun for the whole family.
The event is set for September 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving families plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors, listen to live music, and take part in a variety of fun activities.

A Little Something for Everyone
For just $15, your ticket includes plenty of activities throughout the afternoon. Kids can enjoy pumpkin painting, while families can take a hayride.
If you're looking for a little more adventure, you can try your hand at axe throwing or check out the Timberworks Lumberjack Shows. There will also be live music and mini photo sessions, giving visitors a chance to capture some fall memories.
And because a fall afternoon is always better with something warm to eat, soup and s'mores will be available while supplies last.

Don't Forget Your Flannel
There is a new addition to Flannel Fest this year, and it might be the easiest contest you'll ever enter.
The Flannel Contest is new for 2026, with prizes up for grabs. So, whether your flannel is classic, colorful, oversized, or something that has been hanging in your closet since the last decade, this is your chance to show it off.
Kids 12 and under get in free, making this a family friendly way to spend a Saturday in the park.
Presale ticket sales close September 17 at noon, so organizers encourage guests to purchase tickets ahead of time and skip the purchase line. You can order your online tickets here.
So grab the family, throw on your favorite flannel, and head to Lewis & Clark State Park for an afternoon of pumpkins, music, lumberjacks, hayrides, and plenty of fall fun.
