Join the Community Drive for a Cleaner Williston on September 30, 2023
The City of Williston is gearing up for its annual fall Clean Williston event, and you're invited to be a part of this community-driven initiative. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as we come together to make our city cleaner and more beautiful.
In case Mother Nature has other plans, don't worry. We've got a backup date set for Saturday, October 7, 2023. Any weather-related changes will be promptly communicated on the City of Williston's social media platforms and our official website, www.cityofwilliston.com.
This year's fall Clean Williston event will be held at the Williston Public Works facility, located at 1121 5th Street East.
Here's how you can get involved: individuals and groups alike can register online for one of the 40 available zones. To sign up, simply visit http://bit.ly/CleanWilliston. As a token of our appreciation, volunteers will receive a free Clean Williston t-shirt (while supplies last) and a light breakfast to kickstart the day. Public Works will provide essential safety gear such as vests, gloves, and garbage bags.
In addition to collected trash, containers will be available for the following materials at Public Works:
-Wood
-Metal
-Tires [limit 4 pp]
-Tin & Aluminum Cans [loose]
-Cardboard [break down]
-White Paper [loose]
*During the event, garbage bags can be left in the zones for pickup or returned to Public Works for disposal. Volunteers are asked to return gloves and safety vests to Public Works or leave with garbage bags.*
