Several Blood Drives Are Coming to Western North Dakota in October
October will be here next week, which means we are already heading into the final quarter of 2026. Man, this year is blowing by!
While the calendar may be moving quickly, the need for blood continues throughout the year. For people here in Western North Dakota who are healthy and willing to roll up their sleeves, there are several opportunities to give coming up in October.

Several Local Chances to Give
The first two opportunities are right here in Williston. Blood drives will be held October 5 and 6 from noon to 6 p.m. at the New Armory in downtown Williston.
If you are out and about in the Mon-Dak and want to make a difference, another blood drive is scheduled for October 8 in Ray.
October 8 is also a day to give in Williston, with a blood drive taking place at CHI St. Alexius Health.
Another opportunity is scheduled for October 23 at Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Williston.

Who Can Donate?
According to the information provided, donors can give blood every 56 days, with the opportunity to donate up to six times per year.
To qualify, you must be in good health and feeling well. Donors must generally be at least 16 years old in most states and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
If you've never donated before, October could be a good time to give it a try. And if you're a regular donor, these dates give you a few more opportunities to work a blood donation into your calendar.
In a place like Western North Dakota, where neighbors tend to look out for neighbors, rolling up your sleeves for an hour or so can be a pretty simple way to help someone you may never meet.
So mark the calendar, find a date that works and consider giving the gift that can make a real difference when someone needs it most.
