North Dakota Picked Its Favorite Looney Tunes Character, Do You Agree?

We just wrapped up another weekend, and it got me thinking about those Saturday mornings when the biggest decision of the day was which bowl of cereal to grab before settling in front of the TV.

No homework. No work. No alarm clock.

Just cartoons.

And if you grew up watching Looney Tunes, you probably had a favorite character. Of course, bringing up someone's favorite can be a little dangerous territory. Everyone has an opinion, and nobody wants to hear that their favorite cartoon character isn't the best.

For me, it was hard to beat Bugs Bunny. Taz was always good for a little chaos, and Gossamer and Pete Puma were two of those characters who could make an appearance and immediately make things more entertaining.

But apparently, where you live can have something to do with which Looney Tunes character you love the most.

According to a study by Coventry Direct, every state has a favorite Looney Tunes character. And the results for our part of the country might not be what you'd expect.

North Dakota Has Made It's Choice

Here in North Dakota's, the favorite is Porky Pig.

That's right, the stuttering little pig with the famous sign-off, “That's all folks!”

Our neighbors to the west in Montana also picked Porky Pig as their favorite.

Meanwhile, both Minnesota and South Dakota went with Elmer Fudd.

Now, I have to admit, I'm not sure I would have guessed any of those four.

It just goes to show that our cartoon loyalties can be pretty strong, even decades after those Saturday mornings in front of the television.
