Thirteen applicants have come forward for the Board of City Commissioners post in Williston to fill the spot recently vacated by Tate Cymbaluk.

The new city commissioner will finish Cymbaluk's term, which is slated to end in June of 2026.

The commission is now preparing to proceed with the appointment process, filling the vacancy on the board, which was established on May 13, 2025.

Following North Dakota Century Code, the Board may name a suitable person to occupy the vacancy following fifteen days from the date of the vacancy.
