
Williston North Dakota Sees 669 Calls for Service in One Week
The Williston Police Department stayed busy last week, handling a steady flow of calls, arrests, and traffic activity from September 21 through September 27, 2025.
Officers responded to 669 calls for service, a clear sign that the department continues to be a central part of keeping the community safe and supported. These calls varied in nature, ranging from routine checks to more urgent incidents that required immediate response.

Williston Police Report: Arrests, Traffic Stops, and Accidents Mark a Busy Week
During the week, the department recorded 20 arrests. Out of those, 4 were felony arrests, 15 were misdemeanor cases, and there was 1 infraction noted. No “other” arrests were logged during this period, making for a fairly standard week in terms of overall charges.
Traffic enforcement also played a key role in the week’s activity. Officers conducted 110 traffic stops, resulting in 36 citations and 14 written warnings. These numbers highlight the department’s ongoing efforts to keep local roads safe by addressing speeding, distracted driving, and other violations.
When it comes to roadway safety, officers also responded to 23 traffic accidents. Fortunately, most were minor—20 non-injury accidents—though 3 accidents did result in injuries.
In addition, officers completed 106 reports, documenting incidents, investigations, and enforcement actions.
