Williston Police Respond to Over 3,100 Calls in August
The Williston Police Department handled 3,183 calls for service in August. Of those, 370 were officer-initiated while 2,813 came from citizen requests. Among the most frequent calls were traffic stops (856), assistance requests (175), follow-ups (151), welfare checks (131), and 911 hang-ups (106).
One important statistic for residents is response time. On average, officers were able to respond in just 4 minutes and 46 seconds, demonstrating their commitment to quick service during emergencies.
Traffic enforcement played a major role in August’s activity. Officers conducted 856 traffic stops, which resulted in 373 citations and 95 written warnings.

Williston Police Make 116 Arrests in August
On the reporting side, officers filed 469 official reports, covering everything from minor incidents to more serious crimes.
Arrests were also a significant part of police work last month. A total of 116 arrests were made, including 22 felony arrests, 93 misdemeanors, and one infraction. Some of the most common charges included:
