The holiday spirit is alive and well in Missoula, with horse-drawn carriage rides bringing a nostalgic charm to the season.

We've got rides and an enchanted Christmas village to tell you about to help make things merry and bright.

DOWNTOWN MISSOULA CARRIAGE RIDES

Once again this year, you can enjoy free carriage rides every Saturday and Sunday leading up to Christmas: December 6-7, 13-14, 20-21 from 12:00 pm -3:00 pm. Rides are first-come, first-served. Pick up is on East Pine Street near the Art Museum Park and across from Pearl Boba Tea. Rides are provided by Out West Wagon Rides. Keep them in mind for private wagon and wagonette rides organized specifically for you for that special day, whether it's family get-togethers, friends visiting, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or office parties.

ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS VILLAGE

A short distance from Missoula in the Huson area is a charming place that kids of all ages are sure to love. A fun-filled day of enchantment and Christmas magic for all ages is waiting for you at the historic 9 Mile Schoolhouse. Grab your friends, family, and neighbors to come tour the grounds of the 9 Mile Schoolhouse.

Every Enchanted Village building has wonder and joy hiding inside, from story time to letter writing, Christmas cocktails and handmade wreaths. Ride the Country Train and a pony. Best of all, after writing a letter to the North Pole, meet Santa, and have your photo taken. You can also have a homemade lunch and cup of cocoa.The Enchanted Village is open December 6th and 13th, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm both days.

ADMISSION CHARGES

Entry to the Enchanted Village is $12. Tickets available at the gate and include all activities and hot chocolate, coffee, or cider. Additional food and drinks such as cocktails, lunch, and cookie decorating kits are available for purchase.
