Well, this certainly won't win over fans of those who are against folks coming to Montana.
The Treasure State has a lot to see and do, and seems to grow in popularity each year as far as tourists coming and seeing what Montana is all about. Of course, there is Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, but there is so much more to see and do.

The Beartooth Highway, Lewis and Clark Caverns, all of the mountains ranges, Flathead Lake, and many others make Montana one of the spectacular places in the world. However, one spot in Montana has been named the number one trending travel destination in the world for 2026.
What Montana spot is the number one travel destination?
Well, let's see. This might be hard to figure out. I mean, there tons of places to check out, some popular, and some not. So what Montana spot would be named the number one trending travel destination in the world? I mean, what are we talking about here?
Simple. Big Sky.
Yep, the small little mountain town that has some of the best skiing, plus is home to the Yellowstone Club. That Big Sky has been named number one by Expedia. In fact, according to the popular travel site, the small Montana mountain town beat out some pretty heavy hitters when it comes to travel.
What does that mean for Montana? Well, it probably means more tourists. Now, I'm not anti-tourist, in fact, I encourage it. Tourism brings Montana over 5 billion dollars a year. So, I say the more the merrier. However, there are those who aren't as friendly.
