We all know the lyrics..."I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the ones I used to know"

The song has been done and re-done hundreds of times, but the message rings true. I think most people, except for those living on or near a beach, would love to have a white Christmas.

I mean, there's just something magical about it. The Christmas Tree aglow, family and friends coming together to celebrate, and outside, a blanket of snow covering the ground and making it a winter wonderland. Most years, those of us in Montana are blessed with such a scene, at least the snow part; however, last year, much of Montana didn't see snow at Christmas time.

I would never aspire to be someone so noble as a meteorologist, but I did do a little online research, IE, I went to weather.com to see what they were predicting for Montana this Christmas. As it turns out, it's kind of a mixed bag.

Will Montana see a white Christmas this year?

The good news, if you're in the western part of the state and are looking forward to snow on December 25th, it looks like you might be in luck. For the rest of the state, the majority of Big Sky Country falls under the possible category, while the southeastern corner and a portion of the southern state look like a no-go.
