Montana has a history of being a place where dreamers go to be free from all of the everyday hassles. A place where you can start from nothing and build something. Where you can enjoy the land and the outdoors, and you don't have to ask for someone else's permission for every little thing.

In neighborhoods all over Montana, you'll find HOA's and depending on the neighborhood, you may pay more or less. Some are relatively inexpensive, while others can cost you over $ 200 a month.  So, what is the purpose of an HOA? Great question.

Hmmm, ok. So, you finally have enough money to afford the Montana house prices, only to have a group of people tell you what color your home can be, what you can and can't have in your driveway, how many holiday decorations you can put up, etc.

I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound very Montana to me.
