Montana Lands Two Locations On Best Places To Visit List
When you think of Montana, several things come to mind. The mountains, the wildlife, National Parks, tourists, etc.
Montana is one of those places that folks might dream of living, until they move here. While Montana summers are the stuff dreams are made of, the winters can be long, harsh, and devastating. However, for those who are tough enough to live here all year round, it appears some places in Big Sky Country are better than others.
The travel site OOAKT went through each region in the country and found the Top 10 places to visit in each area. So, when it comes to the Mountain West, did any Montana locations make the list?

Where in Montana is the best place to visit?
According to the list, two Montana locations made the Top 10. One came in 7th, while the other came in 5th. Oh, and it should be noted that according to the site, the states that make up the region are Montana, Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming.
So, which Montana locations made the Top 10? The first location to appear on the list, coming in 7th place, is the city of Missoula. Missoula is home to the University of Montana, a vibrant nightlife, a ton of breweries, mediocre college football, and lots and lots of hippies.
The truth is, it's a fun town, and if you're a young person who loves having a good time AND being outdoors, Missoula could be your perfect fit.
5th on the list won't come as a big surprise, as it brings in hundreds of thousands of locals and visitors each year. Of course, we are talking about Flathead Lake. Flathead is not only the biggest freshwater lake east of the Mississippi, but it's also one of the biggest summer destinations in the West.
For those who are curious, rounding out the Top 5 are #4 Sun Valley, ID, followed by three Colorado locations. Estes Park, Telluride, and coming in #1 is Denver.
