Much of Montana is expected to receive snow throughout the week, and it's just in time for the busiest travel holiday of the year.

Residents across Big Sky Country have been starting to worry about the lack of snow, but Mother Nature is showing up in full force, bringing cold Arctic air and snow along with her. Some parts of the start have already started to see snowflakes falling. Bozeman was hit with a snow squall on Monday, which knocked power out across the city.

Old Man Winter Will Make a Big Appearance in Montana This Week

Winter is finally making its long-awaited arrival in the Treasure State. Looking at the forecast, more snow is on the way. Bozeman, Missoula, Kalispell, Whitefish, Great Falls, Helena, and Billings all have snow in the forecast. If you need to be on the road on Thursday or Friday, it may become a little slick.

High temperatures are expected to drop into the teens at the end of the week, especially in the western part of the state, so throw on a few extra layers if you have to be outdoors.
