Wind, fog, and snow has been causing issues on Friday and will continue to do due so in dozens of counties. NOTE: conditions have been changing rapidly on Friday. Road conditions can go from good to bad quite quickly.

  • WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches.
  • WHERE...The Highwood, Little Belt, Judith, and Snowy Mountains, and Big Belt, Bridger and Castle Mountains.
  • WHEN...Until 5 PM Saturday.
  • IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult, and tire chains may be required for some vehicles if traveling through mountain passes.
  • PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
  • Remember, a Winter Storm Warning means that there is at least an 80% chance of impactful winter weather conditions during the warning period.
