I'll be the first to admit that I am quite used to all our present-day conveniences

If you are old enough to remember what it used to be like - taking an actual pen to the paper, sitting down and writing a letter, and then of course digging up a stamp and walking down to the neighborhood street corner and dropping your letter in the mailbox, where hopefully the intended recipient would receive it about 10 days later.

A simple clicks from a mouse, OR an extremely convenient way of taking care of two things at once

So many people now use the internet and the help from their mouse to actually e-mail a letter or package across the country in just seconds. Also, the ultimate convenience of doing your grocery shopping and taking advantage of the USPS right there in the store....although that last part will be ending soon for 3 Bismarck grocery stores.

It's nice to have that so close by when you really need it

Not everyone takes advantage of it, and some may have never even noticed - sadly though for those who have, will be missing it. According to the bismarcktribune.com  "Several U.S. Postal Service satellite sites inside Bismarck grocery stores are set to close this fall, leaving residents with fewer convenient options to mail packages, buy stamps or access basic postal services without visiting a main post office. Contract postal units inside three Bismarck Family Fare locations -- on South Washington, North 11th Street and West Turnpike Avenue -- will close on Sept. 30"
