If you're like me, you love going to different thrift stores in town and finding a hidden gem. You might be happy to hear that there is a new thrift store opening in downtown Bismarck this week.

Look out soon for Second Home Thrift Store at 515 E Broadway Avenue. The owners tell me Second Home is meant to be a place where generosity and community come together. It's operated by Global Neighbors, a non-profit organization and coalition of volunteers partnering with, mentoring, and sharing cultural heritages and providing services to new American and immigrant residents in Bismarck-Mandan.

The owners also tell me that Second Home Thrift Store will offer high-quality, affordable furniture, home goods, and clothing. This might be a place you want to check out for holiday gifts!

Opening This Week

The store will actually be having a grand opening celebration this Friday (November 14th) from 4 to 7 pm. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the city Chamber, and we will be broadcasting live. Stop by and check it out this weekend.

Additionally, if you have any items you'd like to donate, please call to arrange a drop-off appointment.

They accept household items like dishes, cookware, decor, and small appliances. They also take linens, bedding, and clothing in good condition.

The store will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
