North Dakota doesn't get a lot of attention when it comes to tourism.

Yes, most people have heard of Medora or the Theodore Roosevelt National Park but that's about it. Let's face it, we are a "flyover state" at best.

As somebody who has lived in North Dakota all but just a couple of years of my life, I'm here to tell you, the rest of the country is missing out.

Stunning views, recreational opportunities, and fascinating things to see are all around us if you take the time to look for them.

I'm even shocked when I talk to people who have lived in North Dakota all their lives and have never even visited the badlands (mostly in the eastern part of the state). I mean there's so much more than just Bison football.

This got me thinking about ten places all North Dakotans should visit in the state before they die.

Make it a bucket list and try to knock off a couple of each year. You will be so glad you did. To be honest, I could've come up with 30 places or more that I think are worthy, but I don't want to overwhelm you too much.

I am curious how many of these 10 you have actually been to. I feel very fortunate to say that I have been to all 10. You should try to do the same.

Let's get to it. These are the 10 Must-See Places in North Dakota Before You Die!

Don't miss out! Enjoy the beauty of North Dakota.

LOOK: Here are the pets banned in each state
