Disgusting: Vikes Throw Bismarck’s Carson Wentz To The Wolves
Bismarck's Caron Wentz is done for the season.
He will no longer be wearing the purple and gold for his favorite childhood NFL team. It was announced on Monday that Carson Wentz will have season-ending shoulder surgery. This surgery will be on his non-throwing shoulder, an injury that he suffered in London against the Cleveland Browns.
A list of injuries that Carson Wentz was playing through.
According to The Viking Age, Wentz had been playing with a dislocated shoulder that resulted in a torn labrum and a fractured socket. It didn't take a medical doctor to see how Wentz was grimacing after each hit during his last game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The camera even caught Wentz literally crying on the sidelines; he was in such pain.

You tell me how, in this day and age of sports medical sophistication, Wentz could ever be allowed even to start that game, let alone almost finish it. It seems like players these days are held out for a broken fingernail, yet Wentz was allowed to play with a mangled shoulder. In the article, The Viking Age went on to say someone is going to lose their job over this. I couldn't agree more.
This begs the question...Why didn't the Vikings play JJ McCarthy or Max Brosmer last week in light of what Wentz was dealing with?
McCarthy's ankle sure looked healthy as he jumped out of the way of Justin Jefferson last week during the Chargers game that was caught on camera. There's been plenty of speculation on this as well. Many believe the Vikings didn't want McCarthy playing behind that porous, injury-plagued offensive line. Others claim that 3rd string quarterback Max Brosmer wasn't brought into the game because it could cause a quarterback controversy between Brosmer and McCarthy. Some even believe that Brosmer could be the better quarterback.
We will likely never know the real reason why head coach KOC decided to stay with Wentz while he was in all that pain. It sure does scream that Wentz was nothing more than a sacrificial lamb, you know, someone who is expendable. Something that goes against what Kevin O'Connell is allegedly all about. A player's coach who wants what is best for his players first and foremost.
Some are suggesting the Vikings could even be investigated for how they handled the Wentz injury.
Plenty of speculation on social media and sports talk radio on this. All I can say, Carson deserved better. He gutted it out for his childhood team, and now his season is over. It just doesn't seem like a fair trade.
