Meet One of Mondak Animal Rescue’s Longest Residents
If you listen to the Big Butt Morning Show you know that I am a huge advocate for adopting animals from local rescues. One local rescue that I mention each week is Mondak Animal Rescue of Williston. They are dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals and to the promotion of their adoption program.
I'd like to tell you about Shasta, one of their longest residents. She has been patiently waiting over 170 days for someone to pick her & her torti-tude. Shasta is a lover of treats, cuddling and all the pets! She can be a little picky about her cat friends, preferring the cat tree to playing, but LOVES to curl up in any willing lap.
If you are interested please stop in or visit mondakanimalrescue.org for an application. Help us find Shasta's people!
The best part is when you adopt one animal, you are actually saving two because MDAR is able to take another dog or cat into their care the next day. There is always something happening and they rely on community support. They are so appreciative of donations.
Mondak Animal Rescue has a few fundraisers coming up. The Second Annual Lucky Paws raffle is in March. $25.00 per ticket. Limited to 250 tickets. The Hippity Paw-Pity event is April 1st and will feature a $5 plated lunch from Three Amigos, If the weather cooperates, they will bring in a few petting zoo animals, along with train rides. There may even be an Easter Bunny Hopping around so you can have the opportunity to capture a picture. May 6th is the Spay-ghetti & No Balls Dinner and Silent Auction.
Stop out to the Buck Sheele Family Animal Center to enter the raffle, drop off donations or to adopt. Mondak Animal Rescue is located at 6207 1st Avenue West in Williston and their number is 701-577-7387 (PETS).
