In case you missed their Flag Day performance at First International Bank and Trust, the Williston State College City Band once again presents the Summer Concert Series! Come out and listen to a variety of amazing music at the Virgil Syverson Performance Center in Harmon Park, Williston.

Stop by Harmon Park Tuesday's at 7:30pm to hear WSC's Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. Kyle Norris, direct the WSC City Band. This will be Dr. Norris' last summer as director. The City Band’s free Summer Concert Series runs until July 25.

Park concerts start Tuesday, June 20 at 7:30 in Harmon Park. Attendees should bring their own chairs and blankets Come early and get burgers from the Williston Korner Lions Club. They'll start serving prior to the concerts, around 6:45 pm. Selling burgers, chips and water.

Tuesday, June 20th - Concert in Harmon Park - 7:30pm

Tuesday, June 27th - Concert in Harmon Park featuring favorites of our band members - 7:30pm

Tuesday, July 4th - Concert in Harmon Park celebrating the 4th through patriotic music, American composers, and other styles of music linked to our country - 7:30pm

Tuesday, July 11th - Concert in Harmon Park featuring music from the big screen and TV - 7:30pm

July 18th - Concert in Harmon Park - 7:30pm

July 25th - Final concert of the summer at Bethel Lutheran Home - 7:30pm

The band might sound a bit bigger this year because band students from Williston High School will be participating as a fun summer challenge. Band member Jean Lindvig says the city band is currently pushing 30 members and that its nice to be able to have multiple people in a section.

If you are interested in performing with the City Band, they usually meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm in Stevens Hall 216 on campus at Williston State College. To join the summer park concerts, rehearsals begin at 5:30 pm and last roughly one hour, then they transition to Harmon Park for a 7:30pm performance. Bring your own instrument.
