A Surprisingly Mild Winter Across Montana

For those of you who hate the winter months here in Montana because of the cold, you've been pretty lucky this winter.

It was an usually warm December across Montana as some places saw temperatures run about 10 degrees higher than average, and looking at the long term forecast it seems to be continuing.

Montana Winters Were Not Always This Easy

Winters in Montana weren't always this mild. Talk to anyone older than 50 and they'll tell you horror stories of winters past.

Snow piled higher than their houses, winds reaching hurricane levels and the cold dropping down into negative double digits.
