I had a delightful weekend in NW North Dakota and amidst the activities, I also took on the role of dog sitting.

After finishing work on Friday, I made a stop at Dirty Dough Cookies and purchased two Biscotchie Cookies. These soft and chewy oatmeal cookies are loaded with butterscotch chips, stuffed with Biscoff cookie butter, and drizzled with more cookie butter. They've quickly become my new favorite, and I regret not buying more!

One of the highlights of Friday was celebrating my friend Monica's birthday with a delicious meal at Dabeno's.

On Saturday, I spent some time at the radio station and later sold tickets for the 7th-grade boys' basketball games at Williston Middle School. The Coyotes played against Sidney, and there were also 8th-grade games at Bakken Elementary School.

Throughout the weekend, I enjoyed watching my nephew Corban's hockey games via the Red Pepper Hockey Cam. His Grand Forks Aviators team performed well, placing 3rd in the Squirts tournament. Corban finished with a goal and an assist on the weekend.

Sunday kicked off with work at the radio station and attending the Close-Up Pancake Fundraiser, where funds were raised to support sending fifty-three Williston High School seniors to Washington D.C. in March.

Post-pancakes, I joined my friend Heidi for a class at Exhale Yoga & Wellness, focusing on sculpting, toning, lifting, and tightening the glutes—the Peach Season class. Using a combination of resistance bands, dumbbells, and bodyweight, the class was a high-energy challenge that I thoroughly enjoyed.

To wrap up the weekend, I spent Sunday evening hanging out with my friend and co-worker, Cousin Earl and his wife Joyce. We savored Tom & Jerry's and listened to vinyl records, with the night featuring music from the Chet Atkins and The Ventures. These moments are always special and I consistently learn so much from our time together.
