Williston’s Bras For A Cause Event Was A Huge Success
Williston came together on Saturday night for the 8th annual Bras for a cause gumbo cook-off and Masq-R-Aid party. The event was held at the new armory in Williston and was well attended. 11 teams came together to see who had the best gumbo in the area.

Not only was there a ton of food to enjoy, but there were also many auction items, contests, and great music provided by Josey & The Whalers. Based on the name, you know there were masks and beads. If you didn't have a mask, face painting was also offered.

Bras For A Cause - Williston is a local organization that is dedicated to helping people of Williston and the surrounding communities who are battling cancer. To date, the group has raised and donated over 1 million dollars. Saturday's event raised around $40,000 dollars according to BFAC-Williston board member Denise Olvera. Olvera stressed the support of the community is amazing. People show up to cook, eat, bid, and donate. Congratulations to the teams that placed and to BFAC for hosting another fun and successful event!
