Slovie’s Love headlining Thursday’s Music on Main
Music on Main is looking to return to, well, Main Street after last week's weather event sent music fans, food trucks and families to the Covellite for the Jeff Crosby show. This Thursday the weather forecast looks much more promising as local band Slovie's Love is set to make their debut on the Music on Main stage.
Slovie's Love is a high-energy band that is hard to pin down as representative of any particular genre as they perform rock, pop, folk, country and even originals in a welcoming style whose sole goal seems to be getting the audience dancing and singing along. They are led by C.D, Holter on guitar and vocals, Jamie Fabatz on vocals and assorted percussion, Pete Heidt on guitar and vocals and a formidable rhythm section consisting of Dennis Samples on bass and vocals and drummer/vocalist Jim Brown.
The band will kick things off at 6pm on the big stage on Main Street, just above Park. Main will be shut down from Park to Broadway so fans can spread out with lawn chairs. Bring your appetite because some of the areas finest vendors will be spread out along the parking lot on Broadway and Main and along Broadway street on the northern edge. Weather permitting the foam machine will be out again for the kids so remember to bring towels. The first 60 kids on site will get a $5 food truck voucher as well as complimentary Shirley Temples courtesy of Northwestern Energy.
Please remember to leave pets and coolers at home.
