The upcoming Spay-ghetti and No Balls Luncheon is this week, and they're relying on your support to keep their mission alive.

Every plate of spaghetti you enjoy at this event will make a monumental difference in the lives of countless animals in our city and its surrounding areas. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 11th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The mouthwatering menu from 3 Amigos Southwest Grill includes spaghetti, a Caesar salad, garlic bread, dessert, and a refreshing beverage for $20.

By participating, you're not only treating yourself to a delightful meal but also ensuring that Mondak Animal Rescue (MDAR), a nonprofit animal shelter, can continue its crucial work.

For our local businesses, I personally encourage you to pre-order lunches for your hardworking teams, amplifying the impact of this event.

Even ordering just one lunch can have a tremendous impact on the animals MDAR rescues and cares for every day.

Keep in mind that every dollar raised from this luncheon goes directly back into the shelter, supporting their mission of providing shelter, care, and love, with a strong focus on SPAYING AND NEUTERING!

Interesting Facts:

#1: MDAR receives zero funding from the State or City. Each animal entering the facility requires at least $300-400 in care within the first few days, including vaccinations, wellness exams, shelter, food, and care. Additional costs of $200-300 are incurred for spaying or neutering, assuming the pet is 100% healthy with no other issues. A significant 75% of the animals are rescued from City Pounds.

#2: MDAR also extends spay and neuter assistance, contributing to the prevention of countless unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. This year alone, 200 individuals have received vouchers from Mondak to help with spaying and neutering their pets.

#3: MDAR organizes several large spay and neuter clinics throughout the year at the shelter, significantly reducing the number of unwanted litters.

#4: It's worth noting that one cat can have 3-4 litters a year, with an average litter size of 4-6 kittens.

#5: Similarly, one dog can have 3-4 litters a year, with an average litter size of 7 puppies.
